African Utility Week Conference - 28 May - 1 June 2007
Metering, Billing and CRM Africa 2007 — part of African Utility Week — is expecting a record turnout of delegates in Cape Town from the 28 May - 1 June 2007. Last year, 1200 delegates attended the African Utility Week conference and registrations are already streaming in for this years event, taking figures to an all time high.

African Utility Week is the largest metering, billing and customer service event in Africa, and includes Metering, Billing/CRM Africa and International and South African Prepayment Weeks, as well as other power sector events. A comprehensive exhibition, including a Power Lifestyle SMART LIVING EXPO, which will bring the important issue of energy efficiency to the foreground, and will enable viewing of the latest technologies that are available in South Africa as well as in the international market.

Apart from being the largest showcase and discussion forum in Africa, there is an international Automated Meter Reading workshop as well an Advanced Metering Infrastructure technical study tour. The tour starts in Johannesburg on 28 May 2007 and then moves to Cape Town, where in addition to further site visits, delegates will be able to participate in the workshops, conference and an exhibition.

African Utility Week, widely regarded within the industry as the blueprint for power planning in Africa, offers a unique training, networking and discussion platform and will demonstrate how utilities can be more efficient and offer cost effective services through improved infrastructure, load management, service delivery and revenue management choices.
