REEEP-SA is pleased to be an associate host of the upcoming City Summit on Renewable Energy, an initiative by the South African Cities Network (SACN) as part of the SACN’s sustainable cities programme. The purpose of this workshop is to inspire local government leaders to action while looking carefully at the barriers to a shift to a renewable energy future, and subsequently propose ways to remove such barriers and challenges. At the same time, local government and other stakeholders can learn, from those who have managed to push through the challenges, how to best implement renewable energy service provision.
